Summary

Join us for the annual Science Technician Conference.

The conference involves a full day of guidance and support for science technicians including a keynote speech and a choice of workshop sessions across the sciences.This year we will be hosting the conference at School of Science and Technology in Maidstone.

Bio of Simon Quinell:

I started my career as a science technician then the senior technician in a large school in London, after this I worked is a technician in a 6th for college and then as a science teacher after completing my teacher training. In 2005 I started working at the National Science Learning Centre (STEM Learning) with responsibility for science technicians CPD, practical work and leading the laboratory team. In 2018 I joined the University of York PGCE team and currently co lead the science PGCE programme (part time) as well as working as an educational consultant. In 2020-21 I was the Chair of the Association of Science Education and am a badged trainer for the ASE, STEM Learning and CLEAPSS.

We want to ensure the conference is as accessible to all science technicians as possible with our early bird pricing structure.

Cost:

Early Bird Pricing until 29th of March: Maintained: £100* (After subsidy £30)   Non-Maintained: £100

From 30th March: Maintained: £120* (After subsidy £36)    Non-Maintained: £120

*Subsidy available is known as a Teacher Release Payment which is paid back directly by STEM Learning after attending the conference. The payment is 70% and use discount code: TRP2224 and add this at the time of booking. (Please note only available for maintained schools only).
