  • Nuclear power is low carbon – why is that a good thing?
  • Everything is made up of atoms, but how do we use atoms and the nucleus to produce energy?
  • Nuclear power produces heat, which goes through a number of steps to produce the energy we use. Create a list that explains these steps.
  • What happens after the energy is produced at the nuclear power plant. Where does it go and in what ways is it used?
  • Research some UK-based nuclear power plants to get a further idea of how they work.
  • Draw a labelled diagram of a nuclear power plant, the energy leaving and the different ways that energy is used.
