What to Do:

  1. Watch the video to learn about the job of ecologists – what do they do?
  2. What is a pond? What is a micro-habitat?
  3. In what different ways are ponds formed?
  4. Why are ponds important to wildlife?
  5. What are amphibians?
  6. What creatures live in and around ponds?
  7. Can you create a food chain using the creatures you have met in the video?
  8. Follow the activity in the video to match the words to the descriptions.
  9. Can you draw and colour in a newt or pond creature?
  10. Visit a pond near you and play pond life bingo using the video!
