Join STEM Ambassador Tehmina, a Pathology Network Education Trainer based at Great Western Hospital, Swindon. Working within the NHS for nearly 15 years in varied roles within pathology, she’ll explain about her career path including roles as a biomedical scientist, a HCPC registered biomedical scientist and how she screens women for cervical cancer and specialises in Andrology. She’ll talk about her work within histology and how she is currently involved in supporting trainee scientists in completing their registration across all pathology disciplines.
You will also hear about her involvement in supporting work placements and student visits and volunteers in the laboratory.
This live talk, aimed at secondary students, will be informative and engaging. There will be the opportunity to ask questions afterwards.
This virtual secondary school assembly talk will take place using MS Teams Live. The platform has safeguarding built-in to make it a safe online environment, especially for young people, including no webcams or microphones and a live Q&A function which is fully moderated.
