To celebrate World Space Week, join STEM Ambassador Steph for a Live Talk! An airline pilot whose career demonstrates that persistence and passion can overcome any barrier, Steph began in flight operations and as cabin crew before earning her ATPL and reaching the flight deck. Coming from a single-parent family, she faced financial and personal challenges, but she proved that background does not limit ambition.

During the talk, Steph will share her journey to inspire young people, showing that there are many routes into aviation and STEM. Her story highlights curiosity, determination, and creative problem-solving as essential tools for achieving your dreams, no matter where you start, while also emphasising the importance of attracting more females into these fields.

This live talk, aimed at secondary aged students (most suitable for KS3-5), will be informative and engaging, and there will be the opportunity to ask questions afterwards.

This virtual secondary school assembly talk will take place using MS Teams Live. The platform has safeguarding built-in to make it a safe online environment, especially for young people, including no webcams or microphones and a live Q&A function which is fully moderated.
