Join STEM Ambassador Luke, a Senior Test and Development Engineer at Parker Filtration Group which covers a complete spectrum of filtration technologies, for a live talk to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week.
Luke will share his journey from failing GCSE English to earning a master’s degree with distinction! He’ll talk about how his education and work became interconnected from A-Levels and apprenticeships to roles such as Junior Draftsperson and Senior Test & Development Engineer. Along the way, he has worked on exciting projects, from designing wind turbine components to creating a system that made snow! He’ll also explore the many pathways available in education and careers. Luke is excited to share his story and inspire you to discover your own path.
This live talk, aimed at secondary aged students (most suitable for KS3-5), will be informative and engaging, and there will be the opportunity to ask questions afterwards.
*This virtual secondary school assembly talk will take place using MS Teams Live. The platform has safeguarding built-in to make it a safe online environment, especially for young people, including no webcams or microphones and a live Q&A function which is fully moderated.
