Join STEM Ambassador Dave, Apprentice Development Lead at London Gatwick Airport, for an engaging live talk exploring the world of apprenticeships. He will give a clear overview of what apprenticeships offer, the skills they develop, and how they help shape future careers in engineering and beyond. Dave will talk about the Gatwick Engineering Apprenticeship Programme, outlining what learners can expect, the structure of the scheme, and the opportunities it provides within one of the UK’s busiest airports.

You will also hear from Olivia, a third-year Engineering Apprentice, IET Apprenticeship Prize 2025 winner, and an inspiring voice for women in engineering. Olivia will share her journey, what the programme is really like, and her tips on navigating the application process.

This live talk, aimed at secondary aged students (most suitable for KS3-5), will be informative and engaging, and there will be the opportunity to ask questions afterwards.

*This virtual secondary school assembly talk will take place using MS Teams Live. The platform has safeguarding built-in to make it a safe online environment, especially for young people, including no webcams or microphones and a live Q&A function which is fully moderated.
