Growing Nature Connection: Practical Tips for Teachers is an engaging, curriculum-linked 60-minute teacher training webinar that focuses on nurturing valuable connections to nature in a busy school environment. Developed as part of a partnership with Earthwatch Europe and Surfers Against Sewage (SAS), this interactive session explores how nature connection and outdoor learning supports both staff and pupil wellbeing, engagement, and environmental understanding.

Through discussion and reflection, we will:

  • Explore the importance of nature for learning and wellbeing for staff and pupils
  • Reflect on our own connection to nature and water
  • Discuss common barriers to outdoor learning and workshop solutions
  • Take away simple, practical strategies to use immediately with pupils

This is an interactive LIVE session, where we will be encouraging engagement and discussions to enhance learning. Although designed for primary teachers, we welcome secondary and SEND educators too. Attendees will receive a resource pack with practical activities to connect their pupils with nature.

This session acts as a taster as part of an exciting new partnership between Earthwatch Europe and SAS.

In June 2026, we will be delivering Teach Earth: From Source to Sea, a weekend residential training programme for 20 educators on the Welsh South Coast.
