Celebrate National Careers Week and join STEM Ambassador Bilquis, a Contract Officer in Asset Operations at National Grid, for an exciting live talk.

Bilquis will share how his career developed from working as a research scientist protecting drinking water to helping deliver major UK infrastructure projects at National Grid, working with engineers, global companies, and local communities.

You will discover the wide range of careers that exist beyond the classroom, the skills employers really look for, and how subjects like science, maths, and communication can open unexpected doors. You will also gain practical advice on career pathways, real-world insight into large organisations, and inspiration to build a career that makes a difference.

This live talk, aimed at secondary aged students (most suitable for KS3-5), will be informative and engaging, and there will be the opportunity to ask questions afterwards.

*This virtual secondary school assembly talk will take place using MS Teams Live. The platform has safeguarding built-in to make it a safe online environment, especially for young people, including no webcams or microphones and a live Q&A function which is fully moderated.
