To end World Space Week we are joined by Get with the Program with their Moon Landing Coding Adventure which helps 5-8 year-old children learn practical coding skills as they create algorithms to send a robot to the moon!
We will be accompanied live online by ‘Professor’ Trice, who will introduce, pause to chat, and conclude the exciting and interactive 25-minute ‘watch-along’ coding adventure show!
You have an opportunity to sign up for a free Get with the Program account (www.getwiththeprogram.org.uk/reach-for-the-sky) where you can request access to their fantastic age-specific follow-on computing curriculum-focused activities and worksheets, designed to help embed the learning!
Teachers, taking part will help you to cover computing curriculum key terms, easily integrate STEM into your lessons, save time with ready-to-use resources, contribute to your Ofsted goals and give you a totally free enrichment activity
By taking part in this
assembly, you will also automatically receive a free Get with the Program
account, which will give you access to all the space-based curriculum-aligned
follow-on resources for 7 days. If you’d like to review these in advance, ready
for use on the day, please email Get with the Program’s school liaison team
through danielle.a.marlow@getwiththeprogram.org.uk
As part of the commitment to the Civil Aviation Authority and Department for Transport funders, we request that everyone taking part in the assembly kindly asks their students to complete the age-specific ‘Jobs in Aerospace’ worksheets, and to fill in a quick feedback form for both The STEM Hub and Get with the Program.
Have a wonderful time on your coding adventure!
