Want to build your confidence in physics, strengthen your subject knowledge and develop the skills to deliver excellent teaching?

Clarify your basic subject knowledge of concepts, then deepen and challenge your understanding even further. You will focus on how to improve student progress in KS4 physics and bring together the learning of key concepts effectively. With the help of highly experienced subject specialists, we will support in starting to understand physics links across the double science curriculum, how to teach tricky topics and tackle threshold concepts plus ask the right questions in improving student understanding.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Clarify understanding of core concepts and misconceptions in GCSE physics
  • Understand how to use practical work to deepen understanding in the subject
  • Investigate ways of teaching tricky topics in physics
