Join STEM Ambassador Caroline from Stellar Solutions Aerospace Ltd for a special live talk to celebrate World Space Week.
Roald Dahl's BFG may be considered a giant, but not when you compare him to an Argentinasaurus, the largest dinosaur to ever roam the planet... until a giant object from outer space collided with Earth and caused catastrophic events that saw the disappearance of Argentinasaurus and their dinosaur friends. When you consider gigantic sizes, nothing quite compares to the enormity of space. Even some of our neighbours - Jupiter and Saturn are giants compared to our home planet. How do we know about dinosaurs and how did we discover that it rains diamonds on Jupiter?
Thanks to STEM we are able to explore and understand so much of how we, as tiny humans, are able to walk amongst these giants! Join Caroline on her journey across space and time, to learn how she has used STEM in her jobs as a palaeontologist, archaeologist, uncrewed underwater vehicle (think Boaty McBoatface!) pilot, and as a space terranaut!
This live talk, aimed at primary children, will be informative and engaging. There will be the opportunity to ask questions afterwards.
