Monday 7 June - Friday 23 July 2021
In 2020, the Jamboree was the first virtual event The STEM Hub hosted online. We watched with amazement as the numbers of visitors went up and up, reaching more than 10,000 by the end of day 2. We appreciated the pupils’ work that parents sent in by twitter and email.
We learnt a great deal because of this first venture into the virtual world of STEM, and we have used it to make this second Virtual Jamboree even more exciting and accessible.
Pfizer, who began the event 26 years ago, are involved with this event thus keeping the continuity going. There are 4 main sections to the site as well as a programme of live interactive experiences.
This year, ‘Live Talks’ replace the science shows, so come and be dazzled by an exploration of the Moon or the underwater depths. Marvel, at the science discoveries shared by the STEM ambassadors from McLaren, NPL, Pfizer, The RHS and many more. The author of ‘The Explorer’, Katherine Rundell will join us for a live Q and A session on the 22nd of June to link with Rainforest day! All the live events are free but must be booked in advance so that we can arrange safe online access.
There will be certificates and prizes for all pupils’ submissions that are placed on the gallery and questions will be answered by the amazing STEM ambassadors. We hope that you will enjoy this event!
