Funding applications for IET’s First Lego League are open

 18 Jan 2022 | views: 423 | Grants & Funding

IET opened applications for First Lego League funding on the 17th January 2022. The programme can be run in the classroom with the class pack or as part of an extra-curriculum club. Quick tutorial videos are available, so you can engage the children to build, code and explore possibilities.

Applications can be made for any of the three First Lego League divisions: Discover, Explore and Challenge based on age from 4 -16years. Applications can also be made for either attendance to a team event, or to deliver a programme in-house, for a group of up to 30 young people.

Assessment will be made on a case by case basis following consideration of the following factors:

  • Areas of low social mobility
  • Levels of free school meals/pupils premiums
  • The young people you hope to engage
  • Desired impact on young people and your school/organisation
  • Longevity plans after funding has ended

NB. It is not necessary to fulfil all criteria for a successful application.

Funding applications are currently open and will close on the 18th February 2022

For more information and to apply visit the IET Webpage Funding Packages.

Information on other sources of funding and grants along with ideas to generate your own funds, such as a sponsored singathon, or cake sale, can be found at Funding Support.
