The IET have released a festive campaign about Santa and STEM: what does Santa get up to once he’s delivered gifts to children around the world? Where are they now?
Looking at stories of children who received inspirational, fun toys from Santa when they were younger, which allowed them to be creative, explore and tinker, following their adult STEM careers. The campaign comes with free activities, videos to follow along, cartoon characters of STEM workers and a poster competition called ‘Look at Me Now’ where children draw their future selves in a chosen career path.
The IET has released a video of Steve Backshall (BBC TV’s Deadly 60 and Expedition with Steve Backshall) telling the story of how science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) saved the day for Santa and his family. Get your children involved in linking the festive season with STEM.
