Factory of the Future

 December 12 2022 | Online | Views: 719

Primary aged pupils were invited to join presenters Matt the engineer and Nao the robot to help build an amazing FACTORY OF THE FUTURE! This online show was created by PPMA Best.

The virtual and interactive 45-minute show aimed to inspire and excite young audiences, as the children helped to create a net zero factory using the latest green technologies, learning about STEM in an entertaining and age-appropriate way. The pupils had to make several decisions during the show and each decision helped the factory to work towards achieving 100% net zero. The decisions taken included location of the factory as well as the building materials used to build the factory. At the end of the live show children had the opportunity to ask Matt and Nao questions.

The five live shows took place across November and December reaching over 209 schools with approximately 10,590 young people. Over 300 questions were asked during the live shows including questions about engineers and how Nao the robot was created and programmed.

Matt from PPMA Best and a STEM Ambassador said “Thank you very much to The STEM Hub for spreading the word and facilitating five performances of Factory of the Future. It was fantastic to be able to bring live interactive elements into an online show and to enable viewers to actively participate. PPMA BEST are very proud to have engaged over 10,000 primary age children with Factory of the Future, and hopefully we have helped inspire a few engineers of the future too!”

Thank you to all the children and teachers for joining us for these special live talks.
