Calling STEM Ambassadors, teachers and students, find out about the British Beauty Councils Future Talent initiative in association with STEM Learning and Careers and Enterprise. Access resources demonstrating enriching STEM related careers across the beauty industry, with opportunities in cosmetic science, fragrance, sustainability and technology.

STEM Ambassadors: The British Beauty Council is welcoming dynamic individuals and brand representatives covering job roles across STEM subjects to become beauty ambassadors. You’ll only have to give up a day a year to head to schools and inspire young people.

Teachers: Know any 14-18 year olds who would dream of a career in the beauty industry?

Around 65,000 young people take NVQ level 2 and 3 courses in vocational services, but a considerably smaller pool of talent enter the beauty industry as either apprentices or by way of higher education. This is due to a lack of understanding about the breadth of jobs available across the industry, particularly in regards to the sciences, technology and business.

Students: Ever wondered how lipsticks, moisturisers or mascaras are made? bet you didn't realise your favourite beauty products are made by people who have studied science, technology, engineering and maths. And, that you might be able to lead a career in beauty if you choose the right science subjects now.
