Give your students the chance to experience science beyond the classroom at the Community Lab at Discovery Park.
This FREE opportunity for schools across Kent and Medway gives secondary students access to an industrial-standard laboratory, specialist equipment and the chance to work alongside scientists in a genuine STEM environment.
Students can put their classroom knowledge into practice while developing practical and analytical skills using equipment they may not normally have access to at school.
Activities currently include:
Sessions are particularly suited to BTEC and A-level Chemistry, although activities can be adapted for other age groups and STEM clubs. Please note students need to be over 16 years old to attend.
To access the Community Lab, one member of your science team simply needs to attend a training session being held this September and October.
It’s a fantastic opportunity for students to work like real scientists, build confidence in practical science and discover where a future in STEM could take them.
Give your students a laboratory experience they’ll remember. 🔬🧬🧪
Teacher Training Session Dates:
Please note the training takes place at Community Lab based within Discovery Park, Sandwich, Kent, CT13 9FF.
