Discover the world of Quantum Technologies with a series of FREE virtual secondary school assembly talks from Quantum City, the UK’s National Quantum Technologies Programme. Listen to researchers and experts working in Quantum Technologies and learn about the different areas students could end up working in, using these technologies.

So what are Quantum Technologies?

Quantum technologies are technologies that use the properties of quantum physics to do useful things. We use Quantum technologies already, in things like computers and lasers, however a new generation of quantum technologies are being developed, using the properties of entanglement and superposition, achieving things that until now, have been impossible. The following sectors are predicted to benefit from these developments including:

  • Healthcare
  • Environment
  • Space
  • Quantum Economy
  • Communications and Finance

All talks are aimed at secondary school students more specifically KS3.
