You will Need:

  • Coloured cards
  • A selection of fruit and vegetables or draw your own!

What to Do:

Create colour plates. Cut circles from each coloured card to create a rainbow. Remember ROYGBIV – Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet.
Begin to brainstorm different types of fruit and vegetables that fit each colour, for example:

  • Red – apple, tomato, strawberry
  • Orange – orange, carrot
  • Yellow – sweetcorn, banana
  • Green – grapes, cucumber

Arrange the foods on each plate to see the variety of healthy foods we can eat!

Did you Know?

  • Fruits and vegetables are high in vitamins, minerals and fibre. These are all good for your body and health!
  • We should eat a variety of fruits and vegetables – there is a rainbow of colours to choose from!
