Look up dinosaur fossils online, searching for them by the type of dinosaurs you know, for example: Velociraptor, Diplodocus, Spinosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Dilophosaurus.

  • Look at their skeletons and concentrate on the teeth.
  • Group the dinosaurs by which ones you think/know are carnivores (meat-eaters) and herbivores (plant-eaters).
  • Describe the difference between meat-eating teeth and plant-eating teeth. Why do they need different teeth?
  • Human teeth are made for omnivores (eat both meat and plants). Use a mirror to look at your teeth. Which of your teeth match carnivore/herbivore teeth?
