You will Need:
- One litre fruit juice carton
- Two wooden skewers
- Piece of card or plastic
- Elastic band
What to Do:
- Cut two small rectangle holes into each side of the container, 2cm from the bottom of the juice carton.
- Push the skewers in through one hole and out through the other each side of the boat.
- Cut the paddle card to about 5cm x 6 cm.
- Cut two lines halfway up the card, around 1cm from the edge on each side.
- Slide the elastic over the middle section of the card and around each skewer.
- Turn the paddle to wind up the elastic band and place your paddle boat in a dish of water to watch it make its journey.
How does it work?
Wind up the elastic band by turning the paddle. The energy stored in the elastic band propels the boat through water.
