Women in Engineering – Water Collector

Women in Engineering – Water Collector

  Primary | Environment | Views: 968

  • Check out the items used in the video – can you find similar items to try yourself? Or can you be imaginative and create your own water collector using what you can find?
  • This water collector will filter large items from the water. Can you think of another way to filter and clean the water even more?
  • Water is precious! This activity is a great example of how engineering solves life’s problems. Come up with a problem, it could be a problem in your country or another, and design a solution!

Did you know that 1 in 8 people in engineering jobs in the UK are women? Maybe you have been inspired to think about a future in engineering!

We would love to see your engineering activities! Send us a drawn design, or a built solution to askanambassador@canterbury.ac.uk to get feedback from a real-life engineer! Or tag us on Twitter @STEMHUB_SE
