The STEM Hub has had the pleasure of working with Kent and Medway health and care professionals to provide an interactive online health and care event for school students, which is now live.

A STEM Ticket to Kent and Medway Health and Care, aims to inform young people, their teachers and families about health and care, STEM skills and careers by providing bite-size information delivered in an accessible and engaging way. This is achieved by using our unique event design which creatively combines animation with video content recorded by Kent health and care professionals.

The event will have three main areas (resources):

• Patient Journeys – Children can choose which patients they put on the virtual bus and help them navigate their way to health and care professionals who will help them on their road to recovery.
• Highway to Health – This interactive virtual flip book contains careers advice written by health and care professionals and will include fun facts about their jobs, their day to day challenges and the skills and knowledge they need.
• NHS Careers Map – Designed to help young people start researching and pursuing their career choices by providing personalised video advice from health and care professionals and links to further information and career pathways.
