An algorithm is a set of instructions used by a computer to solve a problem step-by-step.
- Download the FREE LightBot app on the App Store or Google Play to complete this activity.
- NOTE: Always ask an adult’s permission before downloading apps, and always be sure to be safe when learning online.
- To complete this coding game, you need to INPUT the ALGORITHM to move the robot to the end spot of each stage. There are various commands that you can give the robot, including movements, turns and jumps to reach the finish and light the blue tile.
- Once you have a correct sequence of algorithms, press the play button to see whether the sequence has worked or needs to be edited.
- The stages get more difficult, and the sequences get longer, and sometimes LightBot needs to light more than one blue tile. Are you up for the challenge?
- Once you have advanced through the coding game, there are more procedures that you can group to make your instructions more concise.
