Renewable Energy Debate

Renewable Energy Debate

  Secondary | Energy | Views: 1887

Renewable energy is seen as the way forward to avoid greenhouse gases, damage to our environment and climate change. Most people think that wind turbines are a great way to produce renewable energy and are the best alternative.

  • However, how would you feel if a large wind farm were being built in your area? Would you still feel the same way?
  • Decide whether you would be in favour or against the wind farm in your area, and get your argument points ready!
  • Download the character cards from the IET and choose a member of the community that you would like to represent.
  • Write your argument in the form of a speech or letter. Download the persuasive writing frame to help you.
