Join STEM Ambassador Alex, a Senior Design Engineer working for Network Rail. Network Rail has around 20,000 miles of track, 30,000 bridges, tunnels and viaducts and thousands of signals, level crossings and stations. Alex’s talk will provide an introduction to the British railway network and the current steps taken in decarbonising the network. You will learn about Alex’s current role as a Senior Design Engineer at Network Rail and gain insight into his career journey so far. He will also outline the various pathways to joining Network Rail, along with the engineering and non-engineering roles available.
