Meet Richard who will talk about his journey through education, his early career and how he ended up at McLaren. As a project engineer, you get to see the whole life cycle of a project. A McLaren car starts as an idea. The directors sit down and discuss what they want to create. The Studio team, a team of concept designers, create drawings and digital images of what they think the car could and should look like. Eventually this filters through to the Project Engineers and Design Engineers. It is our job to make a dream a reality. We work closely with suppliers to ensure that the parts can be made, to test new technologies and push the boundaries of technology.
