The First® Lego® League Challenge tournament took place on Thursday 9th February at Haywards Heath College, West Sussex. Twelve teams of students, ages ranging from 9-16 from schools across the South East, took up the SUPERPOWERED challenge with the ultimate aim to win the prestigious title of Regional Champions.

The event was supported by numerous STEM Ambassadors officiating as referees and judges who ensured the teams had coded their SPIKE Prime or EV robots correctly to complete the practical mat challenges on time whilst encouraging all the participants to be inclusive, creative, and confident in their approach to this celebrated challenge.

The results were very close and the title of Regional Tournament Champions was awarded to Reigate St Mary’s Preparatory School who will now compete in the regional finals taking place on 22 April 2023 in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. We wish them the best of luck!
