Typically completed by 5-11 year olds, CREST Star and SuperStar challenges relate to everyday experiences. Children complete eight activities to gain a CREST Award, with each activity taking between 45 minutes and 1 hour to complete. The activities are designed to be easy-to-run and low-cost. You don’t need to be a teacher, have a science background or have access to specialist equipment to run them. The packs contain helpful hints and tips for you to use, explaining the scientific themes and offering guidance on conversation topics for your children.
The Great Science Share

The Great Science Share for Schools is about children communicating something that they have been investigating which starts with a question that they are interested in. Young people are encouraged to share their scientific questions and investigations. Children can complete their investigations, use scientific enquiry and share their results. You could hold a Great Science Share at your school! The website features resources, activity ideas for Science Shares, how to make a great Science Question and Encouraging Wonder in Your Classroom. Anything that is child-led, supported by teachers, and shared with others contributes to the Great Science Share.
Natural History Museum – Dippy on Tour

Dippy, the Natural History Museum's iconic Diplodocus cast, is going on a natural history adventure across the UK. The Natural Museum have created amazing, FREE resources that allow schools nationwide to follow Dippy on his Tour around the UK. Learning resources include cross-curricular lesson outlines, exploring the natural world and learning about the Earth in the time of the Dinosaurs. Resources are categorised between 4-7 year olds and 7-11 year olds, providing curriculum links and enrichment opportunities in multiple subjects.
IET Techno Mum FREE Comic

The IET have teamed up with Fun Kids Radio to produce a brand-new Techno Mum comic which includes information, cartoons and games all about different types of engineering to open your students’ eyes to the opportunities that may be available to them in the future. This comic can be downloaded or ordered for free. The comic is paired with a Fun Kids Radio, who have a podcast!
