I’m a Scientist Get Me Out of Here!
Added: January 07 2020

I’m a Scientist is an online activity where school students connect with real scientists about real science. It’s a competition between scientists, where students are the judges. It’s an online STEM enrichment activity where students connect with real working scientists and talk about the things that really matter to them. In the activity, students ASK their own questions to scientists about everything and anything, have conversations with scientists during a 30-minute, text-based live CHAT, choose the winner — they VOTE for their favourite scientist to win a prize of £500 for further science communication. Students discover that scientists are normal people too, learn how their science lessons relate to real life and become more engaged in their school work. Applications are open year-round. The next activity is 9–20 March 2020 for British Science Week. I’m a Scientist is open for students from Year 5 – Year 13 and schools can apply to have multiple classes take part.
